    People with a fixed mindset believe their basic abilities, their intelligence, their talents, are just fixed traits.
    With a growth mind set students understand that their talents and abilities can be developed through effort, good teaching and persistence.
    An example of a person with a growth mind set is a student who, when posed with an extraordinarily challenging assignment, takes the project as a growing opportunity instead of one that will defeat them.
    My role as your child's tutor is to support them in developing a growth mind set.
    A growth mind set will have many positive impacts on your child's future, not just their education.
    With a growth mind set your child will believe they can acquire any given ability provided they invest effort or study. Individuals with a growth mindset are more likely to continue working hard despite setbacks.
